Hello all,

 

We have updated the Comprehensive Planning web application to implement the archival feature, as well as to open plans to allow for submission of the next planning cycle. Thank you for your patience as these updates were quite expansive and technical in nature.

 

Here is what is new with archiving (this all pertains to schools).

1.       Any schools that were in an “approved” status now have an archived plan. This archived plan can be found in the Status/History page, after selecting 2012-2013 from the year dropdown.

2.       For schools that were archived, the plan sections have been unlocked and can now be edited for the 2013 submission.

3.       Any charter schools or CTC’s that were previously required to submit a plan and were approved also had their plans archived. However, charters and CTCs have been changed back to their correct type, so they will not be able to create a new plan for 2013-14 until the charter version is released. They can download their archived plan from the link on their login screen.

4.       Schools that Made AYP can now self-archive their plans for the 2012-13 year. Self-archiving will save a copy of the 2012-13 plan and enable creation of a 2013-14 plan.

5.       2012 AYP statuses have been imported. Schools that have been archived will see this new data.

a.       NOTE – schools that were not archived will have to first self-archive before new AYP data can display.

6.       Schools now have the optional data walkthroughs available on the web application, under the Needs Assessment section.

 

We also have a few other minor tasks addressed in this release:

1.       For the Special Ed personnel development action steps, special education is now preselected.

2.       For the Special Ed personnel development action steps, there are automatic narratives in the knowledge gain and research & best practices narratives. These narratives now say “This is an optional narrative for Special Education.”

3.       The “District Data” page is now called “Data Walkthroughs”.

4.       Action steps in plan output now match the order of the action steps on the web application.
